Simran began her Kathak training in Vancouver, Canada under Prajakta Trehan. Whilst there, Simran competed and consistently medalled in the annual Surrey Festival of Dance.

Currently, she is receiving advanced training in the nuances of Lucknow Gharana under Parul Shah of Parul Shah Dance Company as well as the Lahore Gharana under Guru Nahid Siddiqui.

Past performances include Advaita (2018), Tapasvee (2019), Surrey International Festival (2019), and Folkmoot International Festival (2022).
